ingredients to use and not to use on your car

The products that you use to wash and wax your car will have a significant impact on how long the paint on your car looks nice. If you use products containing certain ingredients, the clear-coat can fail and leave your car looking terrible. So, what ingredients should you find by reading the labels on each product? What should you be looking for to protect the finish of your car and what should you avoid using at all times? These and many other questions about the care of your car's paint can be found right here on my auto body blog.

How To Take Better Care Of Your Luxury Vehicle

Viivi Kumpula

Having a dream of getting behind the wheel of your favorite luxury car every day is something that just about everybody has. If you have been able to turn that fantasy into a reality and you can now drive your dream car to work, there are a few things that you can do to help keep your dream car in the best shape possible.

Take It to a Certified Body Shop

Getting a scratch or a dent on your luxury car can feel like a punch to the gut. Luckily, all of these things can be fixed by a body shop. But rather than just taking your car to the most affordable body shop around, make sure that you take yours into a certified one. For instance, if you have a Maserati then you should only take it into a Maserati-certified body shop. But why? Because these body shops know the ins and outs of your specific brand of car and they will have access to things like custom paint colors to help repair paint.

Take It to a Certified Repair Shop

In addition to taking your car into a certified body shop if you get into an accident, you should also find a certified mechanic that you can trust for everything from oil changes to engine repair jobs. When you have someone who is certified in your specific car, they will know the ins and outs of everything and how it works, which can save you a lot of money in the long run. Plus, they may have access to auto parts for your specific car make and model that other mechanics may not have access to.

Put Premium Gas Into It

A basic thing that you can do to take care of your luxury vehicle is to put premium gas into it (if it calls for it). A lot of car owners think that the type of gas a car recommends that you use is merely a suggestion when, in actuality, it's something that's recommended for a lot of reasons. Specifically, premium gas is used in luxury vehicles because it will help keep the engine and everything else running more efficiently and will help it last a lot longer as well.

Babying your luxury vehicle will help it last a lot longer than if you were to treat it like it were any other car. Keep these things in mind to help your car last longer.

For more information, contact a body shop such as a Maserati-certified body shop.
